Glasgow School of English; its history and background

20th Anniversary Year: 1997 - 2017Glasgow School of English was established in 1997 by Andrew Lennox, the president of the school, following a successful career within the further education sector. Andrew sets high standards and travels the world to promote the school to new students and agents. Since 1997, Glasgow School of English has grown into a truly international school, helping thousands of students from all around the world to improve their English language skills. We have developed an excellent reputation for providing quality English language tuition in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Every year, we help hundreds of students improve their English language skills and achieve their academic or career goals.

Many of our students come back to study at the school, or send their friends and family. Our number of personal recommendations is very high.

In 2010, we established Global School of English in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. Both schools are owned and operated by the family company, Global Connections (Scotland) Ltd.

We offer a range of courses year round, and you can study from as little as one week to one year or more. You can also participate in regular social and cultural events.  With the coronavirus crisis, all our classes are online just now, but we are looking foward to the day when our students will be able to travel to Glasgow again. When that day comes, our friendly staff will be here to assist you and ensure that you enjoy your stay in Glasgow.

I have only been here for a few weeks, but I think it’s a very nice place and the teachers are good.

Glasgow School of English is recognised by UKVI as a Tier 4 sponsor to bring students into the UK on Tier 4 General Student Visas under licence number 18EC8KTJ.
