Glasgow School of English; its history and background

20th Anniversary Year: 1997 - 2017Glasgow School of English was established in 1997 by Andrew Lennox, the president of the school, following a successful career within the further education sector. Andrew sets high standards and travels the world to promote the school to new students and agents. Since 1997, Glasgow School of English has grown into a truly international school, helping thousands of students from all around the world to improve their English language skills. We have developed an excellent reputation for providing quality English language tuition in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Every year, we help hundreds of students improve their English language skills and achieve their academic or career goals.

Many of our students come back to study at the school, or send their friends and family. Our number of personal recommendations is very high.

In 2010, we established Global School of English in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. In 2011, we acquired Hamilton School of English, which offers Young Learner and Group programmes. All three schools are owned and operated by the family company, Global Connections (Scotland) Ltd.

We offer a range of courses year round, and you can study from as little as one week to one year or more. You can also participate in regular social and cultural events.

Whatever your requirements, our friendly staff are here to assist you and ensure that you enjoy your stay in Glasgow.

They teach you in a good way and make the lessons fun, not boring.  The people at Reception are really nice too and the classrooms and facilities are all quite new.
