The English & Work Placement programme is available to EU students only. All students must have upper intermediate level English (approximately IELTS 5.0, CEF level B2) before beginning a work placement. Depending on your initial level of English, you may need to extend your period of English language study before reaching the required English level. Swiss Engineering student Mislav Tutic, 25, undertook a role of Trainee Researcher in the industrial sector at a leading Scottish University. He conducted a research project comparing manufacturing technologies, business cooperation, government subsidies, taxation, and education across the EU. Mislav believes this internship “opens a lot of possibilities, to build up a network of useful connections with students, tutors and researchers, which could be very helpful in my future career”.
