Glasgow School of English opens in Estonia
Radisson Hotel
We have just recently opened an English language school in Tallinn, Estonia, which is the second overseas school that we have opened in the last three years.

It was whilst on a recent trade mission to Estonia that Andrew Lennox, President of Glasgow School of English, spotted a gap in the market. Although it was clearly evident that Enterprise Estonia, an Estonian based investment agency, was keen to promote Estonia as a tourism destination, there was a lack of professional in-country English language provision available to the tourism sector.

Upon his return from Estonia, Andrew set the wheels in motion to develop in-country language provision, offering English language training to hotel employees. Working in partnership with an Estonian representative, Andrew managed to secure funding from Enterprise Estonia and within nine months of returning from the trade mission the school was open for business.

At present Glasgow School of English Estonia is teaching English language skills and customer care training to forty employees from two of Estonia?s leading hotels; The Radisson and The Meriton. Andrew Lennox, President of Glasgow School English (pictured to the left) with Sam Holmberg, General Manager, Radisson SAS Hotel. Four other hotels are due to join in the training by the end of June.

The opening of the Estonian school reinforces Glasgow School of English?s position as a leading independent international language school. As well as the school in Glasgow and Estonia there is also a language school in Beijing, China. In addition, plans are at an advanced stage to expand to other cities and countries within the Baltic region.
